Why These Carcasses Matter
Students gratefully accept fox and feral cat cadavers from licensed firearms holders to support hands-on teaching. These specimens help students build essential skills in anatomy, surgery, and post-mortem examination skills. They also offer valuable anatomical comparisons to domestic pets, helping fill gaps where companion animal donations are limited. Beyond student learning, they support research, clinical training. We thank the efforts of licensed firearms holders who support the program. They will directly support hands-on learning for future students while protecting native endangered and threatened species
